MEAT-FREE BAKERY HITS THE SPOT
10:40 - 16 July 2007
A Bakery which only sells vegetarian products has opened in Easton.
Breadolution, based in Stapleton Road, is the idea of Kevin Hebditch
and business partner Sandra Cook.
Its products include cakes, pastries, biscuits and sandwiches and it is
claimed to be the only bakery in Bristol dedicated to selling products made
without meat products.
Kevin said:"We're both veggies, so we thought we would like to see products devoted entirely to ourselves.
"We don't use any improvers in our bread, and we don't use any lard either - just vegetable fat.
"People are definitely becoming more aware of the chemicals in food and want to take the healthy approach."
Kevin, 32, who has a degree in food science from Leeds University, worked as a nutritionist for Bristol
University before starting the new business with Sandra.
He said: "There's a definite niche for something like this in Bristol especially for people who may have
specific dietary needs."
