Unfortunately, we have been unable to find people to join our workers cooperative; it is a tough job with early hours and long days. After 6 months of trying to find coop members we have decided that the co-op route isn't going to be possible. The existing workers are unable to cover our existing hours, so with regret we have had to make some tough decisions to close completely on a Saturday and to not bake bread on a Wednesday.

We have also taken the decision to trial meat pasties and meat sandwiches. This is another big change for us, as we have been a vegetarian bakery since we opened. We will still be producing our quality range of vegetarian/vegan pasties and sandwiches, and all of our cakes will still be vegetarian (some vegan) and our breads will still be vegan. This change is due to us having to close some of the week but still having lots of bills to pay.

We are baking a range of quality breads, pastries, cakes, and biscuits on site. We are now offering a sandwich service and a deli counter.

In the shop we are now offering coffee to have with your cakes, and the range of cakes is expanding weekly.

If you fancy baking bread at home, we now offer flour for home baking - choose from any of the flours that we bake with: white flour, wholemeal, cobber, 6 seed flour, spelt, plain flour and rye flour. Fresh yeast is also available.

There are many changes happening each week, with the majority of them taking place due to customer feedback, both from the website and in the shop.
